2018

We at People to People Ministries are busy preparing for our annual Back to School Project, which takes place this year August 4-9 at the Wooster Church of the Nazarene.  Our Back to School effort is truly a special project. It is our goal to provide children of families in need with new underwear, new socks, a voucher for new shoes, school supplies, and “nice as new” clothing.  Last year, we outfitted 812 children for school!

A project this large requires hundreds of volunteers, and we need your help.  We have a link below with and explanation of the way individuals may get involved and a volunteer sign-up form.  We ask you to help us to spread the word by making copies available to any one you know that may want to help and does not have a way to get the volunteer form.  Women, men, and college-age students will be given full training to assist the children one-on-one in making clothing selections.   High school youth groups are needed and encouraged to help us set up, move boxes, and clean up at the end of the week.

Also included below is a link with client information that may be printed and given to any Wayne County families who might be in need of assistance getting their children ready for school explaining how they can register for our program.  Our desire is to help as many families in need as possible.  Feel free to distribute copies of this information as you see fit.

You may also consider collecting school supplies for the project.  We are always grateful for any school supplies donated to us as well as “nice as new” clothing & shoes.

If you have any questions, please call us at 330-262-1662. Messages may be left 24 hours a day—We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.  Thank you for any of your special assistance. Together we can help Wayne County children, who need us, get back to school feeling and looking good!
